Mall Evangelism: Is Noah in the Ark?

In his first epistle, the apostle Peter shows us that Noah's ark is a picture of Jesus Christ (see 1 Peter 3:19-22). Recently, Tony met a young man named Noah--a young man who professed faith in Jesus, the Ark of God.

Noah was working a kiosk in the mall. The business he represented was a bathroom refitting company. He looked bored out of his mind. Tony usually tries not to disturb people while they are working, but in all his time spent in his local mall, he's NEVER seen a customer at this particular kiosk.

Noah grew up in the church. His church seems to be a typical American, evangelical, charismatic church. The wives of the pastors are, by default, pastors themselves, in contradiction to the clear teaching of Scripture. The Statement of Faith on the church website says just enough to be classified as Christian, but little enough for the discerning person to know that he might not know what the church truly believes until he's spent some time there.

It appears that Noah grew up on a diet of unbiblical "friendship evangelism," as you will hear in this audio.

Tony communicated the law and the gospel to Noah and encouraged him to abandon "friendship evangelism," as it is most commonly practiced, and instead love his friends more than he loves the friendships he enjoys with them.

Is Noah a genuine follower of Christ? Is Noah in the Ark?
