Sign; The Sabbath and others

We as God's children should learn about signs, wonders but more importantly how they are used. Is there some other deeper meaning of it, whether just given as face value, is it in a metaphorical sense, literal or figuratively. Whether it's a true or false part of a false concept developed from twisted biblical premise or precept.
