The Holy and Impartial Lord

The Scripture is not primarily a book of propositions. It is the history of the Creator who comes and acts within the created realm to bring His purposes to pass. Habakkuk's vision of the Lord coming to judge evil and save His people is presented in majestic imagery, underscoring His power. With regard to evil, He is no respecter of persons. Judgment begins at the house of God. He judges Judah's sin before judging Babylon. However, true to His covenant, He redeems a remnant of His people.
