God—the One that claimed you for Himself—sends you His weak messengers to call you to repentance and faith in God's wisdom in the way of the cross of Christ.

• Christian, God knows when you need His weak messengers to call you to repent of worldliness (3:1).
• Christian, God sends you His weak messengers to call you to repent of worldliness you may not see in your life (3:2–3a).
• Christian, God sends you His weak messengers to call you to repent of unrealized worldliness because it is destructive for your life (3:3b–4).
