Wisdom Incarnate's Dilemma

So, our title for this morning's sermon is Wisdom Incarnate on the Horns of a Dilemma. Wisdom incarnate on the horns of a dilemma. We'll see Jesus, who is wisdom itself incarnate, put on the horns of a dilemma, exposes the false dilemma, which is, as you've probably discovered from the text, law. versus mercy, and he does so by revealing himself as the righteous judge who condemns sin without condemning the sinner, and who grants mercy that restores holiness rather than excuses guilt. The question that perhaps sort of, as we'll see, lingers is, is Moses or compassion? That's really the question of this text that they want to bring to him.
