Spirit Fills Believers for Service

In this talk we learn how the Spirit of God filled people for service in the prior dispensation as compared to how the Spirit is now working in the age of the Church. Prior to Jesus' giving of the "indwelling" spirit of God, we learn the Spirit of God ​fills people in order to better serve God. Remarkably the Spirit ​filled people who do​not believe, e.g. Balaam (Nu 24.1-2)​, ​w​hen God's Spirit overwhelmed him ​and used​​a man like Balaam despite his unbelief. In the prior dispensation the Holy Spirit ​filled people to perform service for God, ​whereas now ​(in the current dispensation​) God seals believers permanently ​(Eph 1.13) and indwells them as a guarantee or pledge that they have the inheritance of eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
