Moses From Education to Hibernation

If you remember the history of Moses his life can be divided up to 3 lots of 40 years. 4o years in Egypt, 40 years in Midian and forty years in the Wilderness leading the Israelites.

In the Prime of his life Moses has to go into exile in the Land of Midian.
God used his time in Midian to prepare him for his future as he would become Israel’s deliverer.

Moses goes from the riches of Egypt to the rugged land of Midian.

God was giving Moses an education out in Midian.
He was being weaned from the Wisdom of the World that he received in Egypt and I believe was receiving Wisdom of God out in the Wilderness.

In the Land of Midian God was preparing the man for the mission.
God finished the preparation of Moses for his mission when he was 80 years of age.
God takes time to prepare His ministers.

We live in an age now where if you are over 50 it is increasingly hard to get a job in some careers.

Not so in God’s economy…God uses the aged.
