Straiining Gnats and Swallowing Camels

The Pharisees strained gnats out of their wine in order to avoid contracting uncleanness by eating a forbidden winged insect and yet they swallowed camels of injustice. They majored on minors and minored on majors. All to frequently our reliigous leaders and political leaders do the same. We here consider the parallels between the hypocrisy of Pharisees and the hypocrisy of many politicians. We also consider how (in the state of Kansas) the campaign emphasis is an example of straining out the gnat of public education funding while swallowing the camel of abortion and other gross injustices.
