44, Privilege Does Not Make Us Immune to Judgment

The Old Testament is not obsolete. It has many examples of what to do and of what not to do. It behooves us to pay attention to the choices and outcomes of the people of God who went before us. In this passage we are cautioned against thinking that because we are God's people, we can live as we want. No matter what position of privilege we hold, sin is just as dangerous for us as it was for Old Covenant Israel.
