Law and Gospel

One of the saddest revelations of Scripture is to read of the inability of some men to see themselves as sinners. As long as we persist under the illusion that we are righteous we will not seek reconciliation with God through the Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ. But God is so good and wise that everywhere that the Gospel is proclaimed His Spirit and His Law accompany that Gospel, to insure conviction of sin, and to drive us to the Savior. Do you study God's commandments for your life? Or do you think that all you need to please God is faith, with no obedience?
