Flesh & Spirit Part 48 Self-control 3

Well, we have come to the final point, of the last fruit, of Paul's list here in Galatians chapter 5, in looking at these fruits of the Spirit. And we have come to a fruit that in one sense encompasses all the other fruits we have already looked at, as well as, all the works of the flesh of the first list. A fruit that plays a part in pretty much every single one of the previous fruits of the second list and the works of the flesh of the first list . And what I mean by that is this. In that first message on self-control, we learned that the word translated as self-control is the Greek word egkrateia eng-krat'-i-ah Strong's number 1466, and it is defined by the Online Bible Greek Lexicon as;

Self-control (the virtue of one who masters his desires and passions, especially his sensual appetites)
