Spiritual Battles & the Weapons For Warfare

The apostle Paul had to defend his personal integrity and ministry against accusations of walking according to the flesh by false teachers. His personal defense was necessary because the ministry of the Gospel was being discredited by the attack on his character. He knew that behind the false accusations was the devil who relentlessly promotes lies and attacks on the servants of God in his efforts to shut down the proclamation of the Word of God. As Paul realized and pointed out, the erosion of the Gospel by false teachers is motivated by their pride and selfish motives. The same schemes are used by the devil today so believers face the same spiritual battles and like Paul, have the same divinely provided weapons for the warfare.
