An Old Word for the New Year (Part 1)

Moses' words in Deuteronomy 4 conclude his speech to Israel (the first of three messages around which Deuteronomy is framed). Israel's great leader is preparing the people to enter the Land of Promise. This passage (vv.1-40) set forth a series of principles and practices that are essential to moving in and moving on. These first eight verses put the initial focus on the essential place God's Word places in the life of God's people.
