An Addendum of Separation

It is impossible for Christ to be more holy than He is by nature, but here He declares that He has set Himself apart in His role as the Kinsman-Redeemer. He sanctifies Himself to the work of the atonement, to suffering the agony of the cross, to His absolute victory over Satan and his forces. Through this work, through His death, and through His resurrection Christ sanctifies His covenant people in and through His conquering victory.
