The Gentile Pentecost

God separately visits Peter, the leader of the new Jewish movement based on Jesus being Messiah, and Cornelius, a Roman Centurion who believes the in the one true God, and wants them to meet and have Peter tell him and his family and friends how to become a believer in the Messiah Jesus. This would require both of them and everyone else involved to break their respective laws and cultural traditions. Nevertheless, they both chose to obey God, rather than men. They met and it changed everything! Christianity was no longer just for the Jewish people, but it was for whoever was willing to believe that Jesus was LORD and that God had raised Him from the dead. Notwithstanding, the most important thing that happened was Gentiles not only believed but they received and were filled with the Holy Spirit and immediately started expressing the gifts of the Spirit beginning with speaking in tongues.
