Sola Scriptura: Profitable & Fruitful

In 2 Timothy 3:16-4:4, we are shown 4 reasons Scripture alone is sufficient.

I. Scripture is given by God (3:16a).

II. Scripture is profitable.

A, For teaching (3:16b).

B. For reproof (3:16c).

C. For correction (3:16d).

D. For training in righteousness (3:16e).

III. Scripture is fruitful.

A. Making God's servants saved (3:15).

B. Making God's servants competent (3:17a).

C. Making God's servants equipped (3:17b).

IV. Scripture is what we preach.

A. By who's authority? God & Christ (4:1).

B. What? The word (4:2a).

C. When? At all times (4:2b).

D. How? Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with patience and teaching (4:4c).

E. Why? People will not endure it (4:3-4).
