Comparing Lesser to Greater

Because of Jesus, the lesser light of the old covenant is obscured by the brighter light of the new covenant.

1. The brightness of the external law (brings death) is outshined by greater brightness of the internal Spirit (brings life). (v.7-8)
2. The honor of the system that condemns is far exceeded by the greater honor of the system that provides righteousness. (v.9)
3. The splendor that fades is eclipsed by splendor that lasts. (v.10-11)
