As He Did Aforetime

Not great feats of faith show our devotion to God, but being consistent in the 'small' things, regardless of the circumstances. These show our devotion to God. We need to persevere in the routine and habitual duties. In Matthew 25, the 'faithful servant' was the one who was faithful over a few things. Daniel refused to be overwhelmed by his circumstances (the prohibition to pray to his God), but remained faithful in what some would call 'small things,' knowing that it would cost him his life. How could he know that his faithfulness would cause the king to proclaim that Daniel's God was the true God? This is a very convicting New Year's challenge.
