Our Shepherd King Has Come

The final section of Isaiah 40:1-11 tells us about the character of the God who comes to redeem His people. The Sovereign Lord who rules with matchless power is the shepherd of His people. While His strong arm of judgment will be raised against the wicked, that same arm of unparalleled power is lowered in compassion toward HIs people. He leads them gently and gathers the young lambs to carry them in His bosom.
