The Seven Ingredients in Salvation

Introduction:

The overall theme is “God saved us”

I. Why is it necessary? Its need is due to the unsavory condition of those without Jesus Christ.

II. Where did it originate? Its source is God, and specifically the loving character of God.

III. Upon what does it rest? Its ground is not anything we have done but what Christ has done for us.

IV. How does it come to us? Its means is the new birth and renewal of which the Holy Spirit is the agent.

V. What does it accomplish? Its effect is to make us justified (by grace) before a holy God.

VI. To what does it lead? Its goal is the hope of eternal life, that is, having unclouded fellowship with your heavenly Father.

VII. How does it prove itself? Its evidence is seen in the indispensable necessity for good works.
