Overcome or Overcomers

It is tempting to feel overwhelmed by the seductive power and pervasive presence of evil that is at work in the world. There is much that can dishearten the people of faith and lead them to doubt their capacity to sincerely love God and carry out His commands. But we are born of God and everyone born of God overcomes the world. The Son of God has come. The Father has spoken. The evil one cannot harm those who are kept safe by Jesus Christ. He alone is the true God and eternal life.
