Adorning the Hidden Person

As Peter details how believers are to conduct themselves in the presence of the unsaved world (2:12), he gives instructions to the wife who may be married to an unbeliever. The status of wives in antiquities was difficult with women regarded as social interiors to men, not educated as men were, and often a decade or more younger and less experienced to their husbands. Peter offers godly strategies for reaching their husbands and for pleasing God in the process.
