The Dangerous Destiny of Neglect

The Dangerous Destiny of Neglect

It didn't count…

God's plan, purpose, and prize have not changed (Joshua 1:8-9).

When God considers your seeking Him unmeasurable and insignificant... like dust on a scale! (Isaiah 40:14-17)

Don't let your seeking go unnoticed now or in the end... it ain't worth it nor is anything else. 1 chronicles 10:13-14

King Saul died for lack of seeking God.

The Dangerous Journey of Neglect

It was manifested in three ways

  1. By living his life, his way, which always transgresses God's way.

  2. By not keeping his eye upon the word, his heart in the way of God, and his feet and hands in the will of God.

  3. By seeking everyone, BUT GOD, for answers and solutions to life's joys and problems.

Saul didn't consistently inquire of the Lord, and when he did it didn't matter, for he already fixed his fate, so the little that he did seek him didn't measure on God's scale. Like dust on the scale...

When your seeking is measured like the dust on a scale. If you're known for not seeking Jesus, as a way of life, the few times that you have uncharacteristically sought Him won't count, like dust, it won't even measure on the scale of your life when it's all said and done.

David, on the other hand, inquired of the Lord about everything: with the enemy and his growing empire for the glory of God.
