Holy BIBLE 1 SAMUEL (William Tyndale Majority Transcript)

David, a man after God's own heart, rose from shepherd to warrior, defeating Goliath and gaining fame, but faced relentless persecution from King Saul, who sought his life out of jealousy. Despite Saul's attempts to kill him, David consistently spared Saul's life, showing mercy and faith in God's timing. He formed deep bonds with Jonathan, married Michal (Saul's daughter), and later married Abigail and Ahinoam. Fleeing from Saul, David found refuge with the Philistines, but remained loyal to God, even when forced to fight against Israel. After Samuel's death, Saul consulted a medium, only to receive a prophecy of his own death. David, after recovering his family and possessions from the Amalekites, returned to Ziklag and distributed spoils fairly. Ultimately, Saul and his sons died in battle at Gilboa, and their bodies were recovered by the people of Jabesh-Gilead and buried with honor.
