Spiritual Reality Pt. 2: The Journey from Thunder to Grace

The Ministry of the new covenant is about restoring the image of God in the lives of people so that Jesus Christ gets all the glory. This is why the Holy Spirit is given. He is not given so that we can fashion an image that we somehow think will please God. The Holy Spirit is given to testify of the things of Christ to us and then to transform us into His image over time.

True spiritual reality is seen in the power of God to change lives. The same Holy Spirit who transformed the John from a "son of thunder" to the "apostle of love" is willing and able to transform us into something far beyond what we thought we could ever be. A church full of people who are filled with the love of God will be a unified body that will testify to the world that Jesus is alive.
