The Ten Commandments

We are now introduced to the Ten Commandments God gave to Moses to give to the Israelites. The Ten Commandments were never meant to be a way to please God. They were given to believers to help them have a better life. The first four commands were about our relationship with God and the last three were about improving our relationship with others, beginning with our parents. The Ten Commandments set a standard of conduct and morality in the most general of terms, but they are meant for those who already believe, not a way we get "right with God".
