Blessed Are The Meek

Meekness is thought of as being weak, as being a sissy. Nothing could be further from the truth. Meekness in the Biblical sense is being a submissive to the Lord, to His commands, not taking matters into one's own hands, but trusting the Lord in the midst of life. Meekness is yet another characteristic of the Christian. He is blessed and therefore he is meek, and because he is meek, the Lord will look after him. He will not be forgotten by the Lord, but will inherit the earth.
