The Practice of the Early Church

The pattern of church life documented in Acts is a pattern of frequent common meals, an event which included the eating of the Lord's Supper. We consider several passages in Acts that show the early church "breaking bread". We consider the "love feast" mentioned by Jude and Peter. We hear early chuch historians describe the chuch as a community that frequently ate meals together - as an act of worship & as an opportunity for benevolence.
