The visit of Jethro, Moses' father-in-law, brings a change of pace to the narrative we have seen so far. We see Jethro's conversion, and His worship of the One True and Living God, Jehovah, which follows Moses testimony of all the Lord has done. What might the Lord do through us if we would similarly give Him the glory in our daily conversation? We also see Jethro's forthright advice to Moses, and we note the practical side of it for our own personal and church life even thousands of years later. Finally, we make a note of Moses' humility as he accepts the advice of a 'new convert'. Surely, there is much to profit from in this less-famous chapter of Exodus!
