Gratitude turns work into worship.

Gratitude makes a sanctuary wherever you stand and serves Jesus to those who stand near you.

Give Thanks Above Everything

"He keeps bringing this up, over and over again—give thanks to the Lord. Give thanks in everything. Not for everything, but above everything. Because above whatever's in front of you—good, bad, or bitter—He's still Lord, and He still holds a solution for all of life."

That's the difference between natural thankfulness and supernatural gratitude. Gratitude doesn't deny pain; it declares faith. Everything's not good, but God is. Everything's not pleasant, but God is present. Everything's not easy, but God is able.

  1. Above the Bitter, Give Thanks

Scripture says, "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus."

That means not for the bad thing, but above it. When we give thanks above what hurts, it lifts us out of the natural and places us back in the spiritual. Gratitude realigns the heart to remember:
• God has a solution for what seems sour.
• God has already supplied what we need to walk through it.
• God will never strip us without intending to strengthen us.

Knowing this:

When you know the Lord has brought you to this place in life. And that His sufficient grace at work in and with you will make it possible for you to reflect Him in this place. And that He's in no wise finished with transforming you to look more like Jesus. And He's not going to leave you in this current situation, but He pr
