I AM part 6 - Light of the World 4

We look at the seven I AM statements from Christ. These attest to His Divinity. They are tied to the I AM of Exodus 3:13 where God reveals his name to Moses. This the name of God who is delivering Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Jesus reveals himself in the Gospel of John through seven I AM claims of who he is. This week we finish up with the Christ's claim to be the light of the world. We detour into some discussion on Isaiah 51 passage about the heritage of Israel being dug from a quarry and the connection to having a believing heritage. The more important heritage is grafting into the root of faith that is of Abraham. We learn how Satan actively blinds/veils the minds of those who are perishing, and yet through a work brings formerly blind eyes into the light of the knowledge of the truth. We become light in Christ and then shine light into the world by our testimony and life.
