Lord, Show Us the Father

It is through faith in Him that you will know the truth about life and how you can find it. But then Jesus says to Thomas – If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him. Philip then says to Him – Lord, show us the Father and it is sufficient for us. So, I would like us to think together about this statement – Show us the Father. Jesus replies to Philip's request with 3 statements. He says to Thomas, Philip, and the rest of His disciples: 1st – He who has seen Me has seen the Father. (verses 7-9) 2nd – I am in the Father and the Father is in Me. (verse 10) And 3rd – If you do not understand this, then believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. (verse 11) In opening up these statements so that we will better understand them, it is my prayer that you will behold the greatness and the glory of God the Son in the Person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
