Smooth, Hurtful Words

Introduction:
Proposition: “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows this
he shall also reap.” This principle is not to be taken in a wooden,
literal sense – but must be applied with wisdom and discernment.

1. Job – follow your own advice. (vs. 4:1-6)
2. Job – whoever perished being innocent? (vs. 4:7-11)
3. Job – can a man be pure before his maker? (vs. 4:12-21)
4. Job – the circumstances show you are guilty. (vs. 5:1-7)
5. Job – turn back to God, admit your sin. (vs. 5:8-16)
6. Job – God is reproving you for your sin – be happy.
