Judgment Comes

All of Jeremiah's preaching led up to this chapter. The people of Israel were warned and warned time after time, but didn't believe judgment was coming.

But they turned their own way, rejecting God's Word. If they had heeded God's Word, they could have been saved.

We also see God's mercy even in His judgment and are reminded that He takes care of His own, sometimes even using the enemy to do so.

Christ's coming is imminent. How should you live in light of that? (2 Peter 2:3-13) We have a tremendous responsibility to warn others.
