A Lame Man Leaping! (Acts 3)

In Acts 3, Peter and John encounter a lame beggar at the temple gate—a man helpless from birth, a picture of our own spiritual condition apart from Christ. Through the name of Jesus, the man is healed, walking and leaping and praising God. Peter seizes the moment to preach, confronting the crowd with their guilt in crucifying the Author of Life, yet proclaiming the hope of forgiveness through repentance and faith in Christ.

This sermon explores the evidence of Christ's power, the exposure of our guilt, and the invitation of God's grace. We are reminded that true salvation is not God helping the strong, but raising the helpless. Through repentance, our sins are blotted out, and we find refreshing in the presence of the Lord.
