Drama Mamas?
Aren't you glad He leadeth you? I'm glad He leadeth me—amen and amen.
Church, how many of y'all plan on going to heaven? And how you gonna get there? Through Jesus and Jesus alone. That's it. He purposes, He speaks, He fulfills. He always finishes what He starts. He always follows through. That's why He's trustworthy—we can take Him at His Word.
I love walking with the Older Testament prophets. Let's lean into Isaiah 28. There's so much light in there—especially when you read it in Christ, with New-Testament eyes. Because Jesus is the Life of every path. You remove the Life from the path of life, and all your paths go lifeless. But put Jesus back in it—grace at work in us—and watch the Word breathe.
Stammering Lips, Real Rest
Look at Isaiah 28:11–12: "With stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people… This is the rest… this is the refreshing; yet they would not hear."
What does that sound like? Pentecost. Acts 2. The Spirit falls, and people from every direction hear the mighty works of God in their own dialect. God kept His promise. He used people that the world called "unlearned" to announce rest and refreshing in Jesus. And yes, He even used Gentiles to provoke Israel to jealousy—just like Romans says. Promise made, promise kept. And He's still doing it.
Why did He do it like that? Because the crowd in Isaiah's day had gotten cold and formal. They had precept upon precept, line upon line, but no Presence upon it. They handled holy things meticulously, but lifelessly. And God said, "I'll speak through another people—folks you call babblers—because I'll put My power on them." That's why intimacy beats routine every time. Methods don't
