Local Church Duties

I have chosen three passages in Hebrews that focus on the importance, the absolute necessity, of living together as members of a local church. Our salvation is not based on the fact that we are in a particular local church. But God calls His people to live together as the body of Christ. We are given very important duties because of the seductive nature of sin and the enemy that we face. Every believer has individual and corporate duties.
We must take seriously the duties of being part of a local church. Fulfill your duty to others in this local church.
We are going to consider three passages from Hebrews that address some of these key duties – Hebrews 3:12-13; Hebrews 10:24-25; and Hebrews 13:7, 17.
