Pre-Golgotha Passion

Many Christians associate the passion of Christ with the immediate events leading up to and including the crucifixion. In the 23rd chapter of Matthew we see a Savior exhibiting a complex of emotions over a lost and stubborn people. "Oh Jerusalem, Jerusalem…". The God-man did not view ancient Jerusalem as a nameless crowd of strangers. His passionate desire was to see them gathered to Him, but they "would not ".
