Qualifications for Deacons

God's plan is for the Church to be led by godly men who serve as elders and deacons. He has given particular qualifications these men must meet. This passage in 1 Timothy is the only place in the Scriptures the character and qualifications for deacons are outlined.

Deacons are given spiritual responsibilities to serve in various capacities under the leadership of elders. They must be men of the highest moral character, with a good reputation and full of the Spirit.
