What Great Things You Must Suffer

As we have seen, the book of Joel revolves around the theme of The Day of the Lord. While the Bible is filled with allusions and discussions of the Day of the Lord, Joel represents the first sustained treatment of this topic in Scripture. From Joel we have seen that while The Day of the Lord is an awful, horrible day of reckoning and judgment, nevertheless for the Christian it is a day of vindication, glory, triumph, and joy.
