The Intercession of the Holy Spirit

Paul tells us that this present heaven and earth groan under the weight of the curse because of Adam's sin. We too, as the people of God, groan under the weight of remaining sin and the horrible effects of the curse. We long for the Day when Jesus Christ will come again and we will once and for all be delivered from these afflictions. But in the meantime, there is Someone else who groans: the Holy Spirit of God within us. He resonates in sympathetic frequency with our groanings, but His intercession on our behalf also resonates perfectly with the will of God the Father. In this sermon we explore the rich encouragement of the Holy Comforter as we wander as pilgrims through this barren land.
