Calls to Identify with Christ
Series Gospel of Luke
- Authentic Identification – Avoid the Hypocrisy of the Pharisees
Reason – God knows our hearts and we will give an account - Fearless Identification – Fear God and not man
Reason #1a – God is the Judge who decides where we spend eternity
Reason #1b – All man can do is speed us to the presence of God
Reason #2 – God cares for you and knows you intimately - Reciprocal Identification – Confess Christ before men.
Reason – How we identify with Christ determines how he identifies with us in the end
Warning – Don’t harden your heart to the Spirit’s testimony of Christ
Assurance - Do not worry because the Spirit will help you testify to Christ.
