A Brief History of the Hebrew Bible

The story of God's providential preservation of His Word as is found in the Old Testament has a long, distinguished and intricate history. Some 15 centuries before the birth of Christ, God raised up the prophet Moses to begin His great work of written communication with man. Thus began the writing of the Old Testament, a work which would continue for 11 centuries and would constitute the basis for the growth and development of Christianity.
