Getting, Using, and Sharing Food - Thanksgiving Devotional
Series Proverbs
Brothers and Sisters in Jesus Christ:
People across the world love to eat, but as North Americans we not only love to eat but we eat much more than we should. We are the fattest continent.
The US consumes about $12,000,000,000.00 worth of sugar each year.
The average North American eats about 150 pounds of sugar per year.
Most major diseases are directly linked to food, especially sugar.
So we have an abundance, (we are the richest continent) but somehow, we are not doing well.
Obviously, either the churches have not properly taught what God expects regarding food, or the people have not listened if they were taught, or both.
Solomon knew that would be a problem in societies where there is abundance…as when he was king.
So on this Thanksgiving Day in 2025, before you give thanks and eat and celebrate, hear God's teachings on food.
Our headings are:
- Getting food
- Using food
- Sharing food
Our goals are that you will learn how to get food, how to use food, and how to share food, all for the good of man and the glory of Jesus Christ.
