God's Mysterious Ways Test Your Faith

Beginning with this sermon, I plan to do a short expositional series on the book of Habakkuk. Habakkuk was a prophet in Judah around 600 BC. He is distressed by the wickedness of his own people, but becomes even more troubled when he learns of God’s plan to send the Babylonians to punish Judah. Ultimately Habakkuk trusts and praises the Lord.

We too are troubled by the evil which surrounds us in our nation, throughout the world, and in the visible church. We want to ask, “Where is God? Why does he allow these things to happen? Why doesn’t He do something?” Habakkuk’s prophecy addresses these questions as we learn more of God’s ways and of our need for faith.

Please read Habakkuk 1:1-11 before listening to this sermon.
