God's Absolute Sovereignty

The Absolute Sovereignty of God is the foundation of Reformed theology. It is the governing reality from which all of the doctrines of grace emerge. The strongest statements of such absolute sovereignty come not from the pen of historic Calvinistic theologians but from the Apostle Paul himself, as in Romans 9. This passage is often erroneously characterized as obscure but Paul's meaning is clear. The text is not hard to understand although, for many, it is hard to accept.
