Hope in the Face of Death - The Resurrection of the Dead

Idea: Death is grievous, but not hopeless because you are united to Christ. We believe that Jesus died and rose again, and will even so bring with Him those who "sleep" in Jesus.

1. "Fallen asleep" means "died."
2. What was the problem? Some believers had died leaving the question, "Will those who have died miss out on the glory of Christ's Second Coming?"
3. Implications:
   A. Death is grievous.
   B. God does not leave you without hope.
   C. What is the basis of this hope? The resurrection of Christ.
