Attention all broadcasters!
A sermon series is an easy way to group sermons together with a series name, description, and unique album artwork. A sermon series can also be classified as a proper podcast with just a few additional details. We've made it easier than ever to manage your sermon series or podcasts using our updated Series Manager in the Dashboard.
Every sermon series or podcast enjoys a beautiful new look on SermonAudio with an attractive top banner area that matches the album art, follow and share buttons, and a responsive design—friendly for any screen size!
How it works?
You can create a new series or podcast simply by going to the Series Manager in the Dashboard and clicking the "Create New Series" button. From there, you can supply the basic settings such as the series or podcast name, description, and custom album art. You can even specify the default sort order—perfect for content like audiobooks where you will want to start with the first chapter!
Podcasting support.
Many people may be surprised to learn that podcasting is fully supported on SermonAudio by simply using the Series Manager and activating the "Make this a podcast" option under the Podcast Settings. From there, you can supply some additional details specific to podcasts such as a public-facing email address and alternate podcast platforms that you might want to advertise if available.
From the standpoint of SermonAudio, here are some of the differences between a typical sermon series and a proper podcast:
- Podcasts can display link buttons to alternate platforms.
- Podcasts are displayed in a separate section on the Series page.
- Podcasts are displayed in a separate section on Solo Sites.
- Podcasts enjoy a ready-made landing page to share (sample).
- Both podcasts and series support fully-customizable album art.
- Both podcasts and series support fully-customizable descriptions.
