We're in Canada!
We are building our next Vault site in Canada! After our first few visits, the cluster is online and operational, but it's just the first step. Next step will be to ship and install a fully replicated copy of the entire sermon library in this new Canadian location.

Why are we doing this?
Seems like an awful lot of trouble to be installing physical infrastructure in such a remote location. You may ask—why are we doing this?
First, we believe in preaching. Second, we believe we need to protect preaching. Third, the enemy's weapon of choice is deception to keep the nations in darkness. Fourth, our weapon is the propagation of truth via sound preaching. Fifth, we must pray and keep our powder dry. In other words, we need to protect preaching at all cost.
Redundancy. Redundancy. Redundancy.
We repeat ourselves in order to be heard. Aristotle once observed, "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit." The Bible of course has a lot to say about repetition—or reminders. "This do in remembrance of me." 1 Cor 11:24.

Reminders are important, and The Vault itself is one giant reminder. What we're doing in building Vault sites in multiple locations is we're building redundancy, copies, ... reminders. I think it is important. I think it would be a great loss if we did not have the preaching of Alan Cairns or Ian Paisley or Leonard Ravenhill or Clarence Sexton or Lester Roloff or Paul Washer or John MacArthur. I think it would be a great loss if we did not remember the preaching of the past.
Svaldbard Global Seed Vault
Halfway up to the North Pole, there is a secure facility called the Svalbard Global Seed Vault. It's where they store all of the world's seeds. So that in the event of a global catastrophe, the seeds will at least be preserved to allow nations to grow their foods again.
The Vault that we are building is protecting the good seed of the preached word so that in the event of a catastrophic breakdown in relations with cloud providers and other platforms, we can preserve great preaching.

Conclusion
We are building our own data center. We are building our own cloud. And the name of the game for datacenters is redundancy. So that is why we are in Canada. Arctic-grade storage for the permanent preservation of sound preaching.
