Interact with sermons in natural language.
We’re excited to share Ask the Puritans! — a new experimental project from SermonAudio Labs designed to help pastors, students, and historians interact directly with the rich resources of Puritan and Reformed preaching.
This entirely new site allows users to ask theological questions in natural language and receive answers grounded in sermons and writings from a growing library of Puritans and Reformers on SermonAudio—20,000+ sermons including complete sermons and works from C. H. Spurgeon, Bunyan, Thomas Boston, Flavel, Horatius Bonar, Knox, and others.
While not every speaker listed would be considered a Puritan in the strict historical sense, they stand within the broader tradition of the historic preachers we are including in this project.

Full citations — going back to the source.
Rather than general summaries, every answer is supported with full citations tied directly to the original source material. Users can play the exact sermon segment from which the answer is drawn via an in-line audio player or follow a direct link to the full sermon on SermonAudio. The goal is transparency and accountability — letting the original voices speak for themselves, in the context they were given.

Global Sermons and the Ask interface.
Designed for church use and personal study, AskPuritans.com supports questions in any language, opening this remarkable resource to a global audience. While it functions independently, when paired with Global Sermons it becomes even stronger — allowing users not only to read answers in their own language, but to hear the accurately-translated sermon as well.

One stop shop for all things Puritan.
The site also features the 24x7 Puritan Radio stream — a continuous blend of music and Puritan audiobook readings for enjoyable listening at any time. Additionally, a responsive design and dark mode make it accessible and easy to use on phones, tablets, and desktops.

Powered by our own Vault AI.
AskPuritans.com is largely powered by Vault AI, our in-house system that ensures every response is strictly grounded in sermons and texts found on SermonAudio in a secure and private environment. If a question falls outside of the scope of sermons, it simply replies with "I don't know." That in combination with full citations and sermon contexts, we trust this will provide the most helpful resource to truly ask the Puritans!
We welcome feedback and help in spreading the word.
